    About the QR Code Generator

A QR code generator turns a web address, plain text, Wi-Fi login, email address, phone number or SMS into a square code that any phone camera can scan. Fill in the details, watch the preview update, adjust the colours and size, and download the code as a PNG image or an SVG vector file.

The codes made here are static: the content is stored inside the pattern itself rather than behind a redirect link. That means they work forever, cannot be switched off by a service, do not track scans and do not depend on this website. Error correction adds redundant data so that a partly damaged or dirty code can still be read; level L restores about 7% of the code, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. Higher levels make the pattern denser, so M is a good default.

Use QR codes on posters, menus, business cards, packaging and slides, or put your Wi-Fi password on a card so guests can join without typing. Keep a dark code on a light background with good contrast, and test the code with your phone before printing.

    When to use it

    • Linking a poster, flyer or product label to a website
    • Sharing a Wi-Fi network with guests without revealing the password aloud
    • Adding contact links to business cards, CVs and presentation slides
    • Restaurant menus, event tickets and check-in signs

    Worked examples

    Wi-Fi QR code

Choose WiFi, enter the network name, the security type (WPA/WPA2) and the password; scanning the code offers to join the network straight away.

    Printing on a business card

Download the SVG and keep the code at least 2 cm wide with a quiet margin around it so phones can read it reliably.

    Frequently asked questions

    Do these QR codes expire?▾

No. They are static QR codes: the content is stored inside the code itself, not behind a redirect link, so they work forever and cannot be switched off or put behind a paywall.

Is this QR code generator really free?▾

Yes. No account, no watermark, no scan limits. The code is generated entirely in your browser and nothing you type is uploaded.

How do I make a QR code for WiFi?▾

Choose WiFi, enter the network name (SSID), security type and password, then download the code. Guests scan it with their phone camera to join the network without typing the password.

Which error correction level should I choose?▾

M (15%) is a good default. Use Q or H (25–30%) if the code will be printed small, placed outdoors, or may get dirty or damaged. Higher levels make the code denser.

PNG or SVG — which format is better?▾

Use PNG for websites, documents and social media. Use SVG for print (flyers, posters, business cards) because it scales to any size without getting blurry.

Can I change the QR code color?▾

Yes. Pick any foreground and background color, but keep a dark foreground on a light background with strong contrast — inverted or low-contrast codes fail on many phones.
