About the Password Generator
A password generator creates long, random passwords that are practically impossible to guess. Set the length, choose which character sets to include — uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols — and press Generate, then copy the result with one click and save it in your password manager.
Randomness comes from the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues), the cryptographically secure generator built into your browser, not from a predictable function like Math.random. Each character is picked independently from the pool you selected. Password strength is measured in bits of entropy: with roughly 90 possible characters, every character adds about 6.5 bits, so a 16-character password has over 100 bits — far beyond what any attacker could brute-force.
Length matters more than complexity: use at least 16 characters for ordinary accounts and 20 or more for email, banking and your password manager’s master password. Use a different password for every site so one data breach cannot unlock the rest. Passwords are generated on your device and never sent or stored anywhere.

Why longer beats more complex
An 8-character password from about 90 characters has around 52 bits; doubling the length to 16 doubles that to about 104 bits, which multiplies the guessing work by roughly 4.5 × 10^15.
