    Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image without distorting it?▾

Keep 'Keep aspect ratio' ticked and enter only the width (or height) — the other side is calculated automatically. For an exact size with a different shape, use 'Crop to fill' or 'Fit with background' instead of stretching.

What size should an Instagram post be?▾

1080×1080 px for square posts, 1080×1350 px for portrait and 1080×1920 px for Stories and Reels. The presets set these for you.

    Does resizing reduce quality?▾

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp — the resizer downsamples in steps for smooth results. Enlarging beyond the original size cannot add detail, so the image may look soft.

    Are my photos uploaded?▾

No. Images are resized in your browser with the canvas API and never leave your device.
