    Frequently asked questions

What DPI should I use for printing?▾

300 DPI is standard for photo prints and print-on-demand books (KDP, IngramSpark). Use 150 for draft prints and 72 for screen-only images.

Will my photo look blurry if I resize up?▾

If your original is lower resolution than the target, we warn you before resizing — upscaling can soften fine detail, but you still get the exact pixel size you need.

Is this just a calculator, or does it resize my actual photo?▾

Both. We calculate the exact pixel dimensions for your size and DPI, then resize your uploaded photo to match — most DPI calculators only show you the numbers.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?▾

No. Resizing runs entirely in your browser with the Canvas API. Nothing is sent to our servers.
