Frequently asked questions
How do I convert HEX to RGB?▾
Split the six hex digits into three pairs and convert each from base 16 to base 10: #4F46E5 → 4F = 79, 46 = 70, E5 = 229, so rgb(79, 70, 229). Paste any HEX code above to convert it instantly.
How do I get a color from an image?▾
Click Upload image, then click any point on the picture. The exact pixel color appears in HEX, RGB and HSL. Nothing is uploaded — the image stays in your browser.
What contrast ratio do I need for accessibility?▾
WCAG 2.1 AA requires at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text (18pt or 14pt bold). AAA requires 7:1. The contrast checker shows which levels your color passes.
What is the difference between RGB and CMYK?▾
RGB mixes light for screens; CMYK mixes ink for print. CMYK values here are a simple conversion — for professional print, use your printer's ICC color profile.
