What is the dew point?▾
The dew point is the temperature the air must cool to before water vapour condenses into dew, fog or condensation. The higher the dew point, the more moisture is in the air.
What dew point is comfortable?▾
Below 55 °F (13 °C) feels comfortable, 60–65 °F (16–18 °C) feels sticky, and above 70 °F (21 °C) feels oppressive for most people.
How is the dew point calculated?▾
This calculator uses the Magnus formula with constants 17.62 and 243.12 °C, which is accurate to within about 0.4 °C for normal weather temperatures.
