How do you play 2048?▾
Slide all tiles left, right, up or down. Matching numbers that collide merge into their sum (2+2=4, 4+4=8…), your score grows by the merged value, and a new 2 or 4 appears after every move. Reach the 2048 tile to win.
What's the best strategy for 2048?▾
Keep your biggest tile in one corner and build a descending chain along one edge. Mostly use two or three directions (for example left, down and right) and avoid moves that pull the big tile out of its corner.
Can I keep playing after reaching 2048?▾
Yes. Press Keep going to continue toward 4096, 8192 and beyond — the game only ends when no move is possible.

What does undo do?▾
