Frequently asked questions
How do I switch between degrees and radians?▾
Use the DEG / RAD toggle at the top of the display. In DEG mode sin(30) = 0.5; in RAD mode sin(π/6) = 0.5.
What order of operations does the calculator use?▾
Standard math precedence: parentheses, then powers (right to left, so 2^3^2 = 512), then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. −2^2 is −4 because the power is applied before the minus sign.
How do I calculate a percentage?▾
The % key divides by 100, so 200 × 15% = 30 and 50% = 0.5.
Can it do factorials of decimals?▾
Yes. n! uses the Gamma function for non-integers, so 0.5! ≈ 0.886227. Integer factorials are exact up to 170!.
