Frequently asked questions
Why is my microphone not working?▾
Check that the browser has permission (click the icon in the address bar), that the right input device is selected, that it is not muted in your system sound settings, and that no other app such as Zoom or Teams is using it.
How do I allow microphone access?▾
When the browser asks, click Allow. If you blocked it earlier, click the lock or camera icon in the address bar, set Microphone to Allow and reload the page.
Is my audio recorded or uploaded?▾
No. The level meter and the playback clip are processed in your browser only; nothing is sent to a server, and the clip disappears when you leave the page.
Why does my voice sound different in the playback?▾
Browsers apply echo cancellation and noise suppression, and the clip is compressed. It is a good approximation of how you sound on video calls.
