    Frequently asked questions

Why is my webcam not working?▾

Make sure the browser has camera permission, no other app (Zoom, Teams, OBS) is using the camera, any privacy shutter or keyboard camera switch is open, and the right camera is selected.

    What resolution is my webcam?▾

After starting the test, the actual resolution your camera delivers is shown (for example 1280×720 HD or 1920×1080 Full HD). Choose a higher requested quality to see if it supports more.

What frame rate should a webcam have?▾

30 fps is standard for video calls; 60 fps looks smoother for streaming. Poor lighting often makes webcams drop to 15–20 fps — the measured value reveals this.

    Is the video recorded?▾

No. The camera feed only appears on this page in your browser; nothing is recorded or uploaded, and snapshots stay on your device unless you download them.
