    Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a dead and a stuck pixel?▾

A dead pixel stays black on every color because it gets no power. A stuck pixel stays lit in one color (red, green, blue or white). Stuck pixels can sometimes be fixed; dead pixels usually cannot.

How do I check a new monitor or phone for dead pixels?▾

Run the full-screen test in a dim room and look closely at each color, especially black and white. Check right after purchase — many stores and manufacturers only exchange screens within a short return window.

Does the stuck pixel fixer really work?▾

Sometimes. Rapid color changes can un-stick a pixel that is partially stuck; results vary. It cannot fix dead pixels or physical damage.

How do I test for backlight bleed?▾

In a dark room at full brightness, show the black screen and look for lighter patches along the edges and corners — that is backlight bleed or IPS glow.
