It is the zodiac sign the Moon was in when you were born. In astrology it describes your emotions and what makes you feel safe.
Do I need my birth time?▾
Not always. The Moon spends about 2.5 days in each sign, so the tool checks the whole day and tells you if the Moon changed sign that day.
Why does time zone matter?▾
The Moon moves about half a degree per hour, so the exact moment of birth in universal time decides borderline cases.
How accurate is it?▾
It uses Jean Meeus' lunar theory, accurate to a few hundredths of a degree, much finer than a sign (30 degrees).
