Frequently asked questions
Is this coin flip really 50/50?▾
Yes. Each flip uses crypto.getRandomValues, your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, so heads and tails are equally likely and independent of previous flips.
What are the odds of getting heads 5 times in a row?▾
1 in 32 (about 3.1%), because each flip is independent: 0.5 × 0.5 × 0.5 × 0.5 × 0.5. Streaks of 5–7 are common over 100 flips — check the Longest streak stat.
How does best of 3 work?▾
The first side to win 2 flips wins the match (3 of 5 or 4 of 7 for longer matches). Select a match length and keep flipping until a winner is shown.
Can I flip multiple coins at once?▾
Yes — choose 2 to 20 coins to see how many land heads and tails in one toss, useful for probability experiments in class.
