Frequently asked questions
What does 2d6+3 mean?▾
Roll two six-sided dice, add them, then add 3. The number before d is how many dice, the number after d is how many sides, and + or − adds a modifier.
How do I roll with advantage?▾
Choose 'd20 advantage' (roll 2d20, keep the higher) or 'd20 disadvantage' (keep the lower) and roll a d20 — you can also type 2d20kh1 or 2d20kl1 directly.
How do I roll D&D ability scores?▾
Use 4d6kh3: roll four six-sided dice and keep the highest three. Repeat six times for the six abilities.
Are the dice fair?▾
Yes. Every roll uses your browser's cryptographically secure random generator with rejection sampling, so each face is exactly equally likely.
