Why does an emoji look different on another phone?▾
Emoji are standard Unicode characters, but Apple, Google, Microsoft, Samsung and others each draw their own designs. The meaning is the same; the artwork differs by device and app.
Why do some emoji show as a box or two emoji?▾
Older devices don't have the newest emoji in their font. Combined emoji (like ❤️🔥 or 👩💻) may appear as separate symbols until the device's software is updated.
How do I type emoji on a computer keyboard?▾

What does the 💀 skull emoji mean?▾
Online, 💀 usually means 'I'm dead (from laughing)' — something was extremely funny. 😭 (loudly crying) is often used the same way, while 😂 is the classic laughing emoji.
