Frequently asked questions
Does it keep the original order?▾
Yes. With 'Keep original order' the first occurrence of each line stays where it was and later repeats are removed. Pick a sort option if you want the list reordered.
How do I remove duplicates regardless of upper or lower case?▾
Tick Ignore case. 'Apple' and 'apple' are then treated as the same line and only the first one is kept, with its original capitalization.
What is natural sort?▾
Natural sort orders numbers by value inside text, so item2 comes before item10. A plain A→Z sort compares character by character and would put item10 first.
Is there a line limit?▾
No fixed limit — everything runs in your browser, so lists with hundreds of thousands of lines work on a normal computer. Your text is never uploaded.
