How do I make my own word search?▾
Type your words (one per line), give the puzzle a title and press Print. The generator places every word in the grid, fills the gaps with random letters and adds a word list below.
Can I print a word search with an answer key?▾
Yes. Leave 'Print an answer key on a second page' ticked — page 1 is the puzzle, page 2 highlights where every word is hidden. You can also save it as a PDF from the print dialog.
What do the difficulty levels change?▾
Easy hides words only across and down — good for young kids. Medium adds diagonals. Hard uses all eight directions, including backwards, for older students and adults.
How many words can a word search have?▾
Up to 60. The grid size is suggested automatically from your words; if some don't fit, the generator tells you — make the grid bigger, remove a few words or press Shuffle.
Can I make a word search in Turkish, Spanish or German?▾
Yes. Choose the language under Letters so words are uppercased correctly (e.g. Turkish i → İ) and the filler letters match that alphabet, including Ç, Ğ, Ñ or Ü.
Is it free for classroom use?▾
Yes — make and print as many puzzles as you like for lessons, homework, parties or newsletters. Nothing is uploaded; puzzles are created in your browser.
