Frequently asked questions
Which tiles can I remove in Mahjong solitaire?▾
Only free tiles: no tile may sit on top of it, and its left or right side must be open. Two free tiles with the same picture can be removed together.
Do flowers and seasons have to match exactly?▾
No. Any flower tile matches any other flower, and any season matches any season. All other tiles must be identical.
Is every game winnable?▾
Yes. Each deal is built backwards from an empty board, so at least one way to clear it always exists. If you choose badly, Shuffle rearranges the remaining tiles into a new solvable position.
