In itemized mode tip and tax are added in proportion to what each person ordered, and shared items such as appetizers are split equally first.
Should tip be calculated before or after tax?▾
Many people tip on the pre-tax amount. This calculator applies the tip percentage to the bill before tax, and you can leave tax at 0 if it is already included.
What does rounding up do?▾
Each share is rounded up to a whole amount so nobody needs coins. The calculator shows the extra collected, which you can leave as additional tip.
