Frequently asked questions
How do I convert an hourly wage to an annual salary?▾
Multiply the hourly rate by hours per week and by 52 weeks. At 40 hours a week, 25 an hour is 25 × 40 × 52 = 52,000 a year. A quick rule: double the hourly rate and add three zeros.
How do I convert a salary to an hourly rate?▾
Divide the annual salary by 2,080 (40 hours × 52 weeks). A 60,000 salary is about 28.85 an hour.
What is the difference between bi-weekly and semi-monthly pay?▾
Bi-weekly means every two weeks — 26 paychecks a year. Semi-monthly means twice a month — 24 paychecks a year, so each semi-monthly check is slightly larger.
Does this include taxes?▾
No. All amounts are gross (before tax and deductions). Take-home pay depends on your country, state and benefits.
What if I take unpaid time off?▾
Enter the number of unpaid weeks. Hourly, daily and weekly pay are then multiplied by fewer working weeks, which lowers the annual total.
