    How do I write Morse code?▾

    Each letter is a pattern of dots (short) and dashes (long). Separate letters with a space and words with a slash: HELLO WORLD is .... . .-.. .-.. --- / .-- --- .-. .-.. -..

    What is SOS in Morse code?▾

    SOS is ... --- ... (three dots, three dashes, three dots), sent as one continuous signal. It is the international distress call.

    How fast is Morse code played?▾

    Speed is measured in words per minute using the standard word PARIS. At 20 WPM a dot lasts 60 ms, a dash three dots, and gaps between letters and words are 3 and 7 dots long.

    Which characters are supported?▾

    Letters A–Z, digits 0–9 and common punctuation from International Morse Code. Accented letters are converted to their base letter; characters without a Morse code are listed so you know what was skipped.
